Multinational deal will see Vodafone provide Unilever with 50,000 devices as well as connectivity and managed mobile services in 63 countries
Vodafone has struck a three-year deal with Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever to manage its mobile products and services across 63 markets.
Vodafone Global Enterprise will supply nearly 50,000 Unilever employees with devices, connectivity and managed mobile services.
It will also provide Unilever with consultancy on how to gain greater competitive advantage through the deployment of mobile solutions, it said.
Vodafone said the deal will improve working and cost efficiencies for Unilever across its operating markets, and make more transparent its mobile spend and improve service delivery.
The two companies will also run a graduate trainee exchange programme to encourage “mobile innovation in the workplace”, Vodafone said.
Vodafone Global Enterprise chief executive Nick Jeffery said: “We are committed to delivering greater value to Unilever through a range of mobility products and services designed to enhance its operational efficiency.
“At the same time we will make sure all Unilever employees enjoy first-class quality of service globally.”
Unilever chief enterprise support officer Pascal Visee said: “The global agreement allows us to deliver a consistent operational service to our highly mobile employees, against the right costs.”
Vodafone Global Enterprise currently counts companies including household appliance provider Whirlpool, GPS manufacturer Tom Tom and marketing giant J C Decaux amongst its customers.
