A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street
The HTC Desire HD and Desire Z are both available for free on the T-Mobile 600 tariff costing £25 a month and comes with 600 minutes, 3,000 texts and a ‘flexible booster’ after 30 days. The Desire Z is also available for the same price on two other networks. O2 300 comes with 300 minutes and unlimited texts whilst Orange Dolphin 25 comes with 300 minutes, 3,000 texts, unlimited calls to Magic Numbers, 500MB of data and unlimited email.
The gifting season has hit Carphone, with gifts coming on two deals for £25 a month with the Sony Ericsson Spiro. The first sees customers get a free PS3 Slim and PS Move on deals across all networks. O2 and Vodafone are offering 300 minutes and unlimited texts while the Orange deal comes with an additional 100 monthly minutes. The second package comes with a free Kinect and Xbox 360 4GB games console. This is only available on a Vodafone plan that comes with 300 minutes and unlimited texts.
Four prepay phones are given a push on the road to Christmas. The BlackBerry Curve 8520 in black costs £136.17, the Nokia C3 in pink is priced at £80, the Samsung C3300 is on sale at £38.30 and the Vodafone 345 can be picked up for £12.77.
The network has offers on three prepay phones. The HTC Wildfire and Nokia E5 cost £189.99 and £159 respectively and both come with 100 minutes, 3,000 texts and 500MB of monthly data. The Samsung Galaxy Europa costs £119.99 and comes with the same number of minutes and texts but instead with 150MB of data.
Refurbished handsets are big at O2. It’s offering a refurbished BlackBerry 8520 in purple – a colour exclusive to O2 – for £120 on prepay. Customers can also pick up a refurbished Apple iPhone 3G 8GB for free on £30 a month contracts over 18 months or free on £25 a month contracts over 24 months. There’s also 20 per cent off selected accessories in the run up to Christmas. The Lulu Guinness iPhone case is now priced at £24 and both the Samsung Galaxy S black perforated case and HTC HD2 leather pouch cost £12.
Fonehouse is also on the prepay bandwagon with five phones given a push on T-Mobile – the BlackBerry Curve for £169.99, Nokia 5230 for £119.99, Nokia 2220 for £34.99, Nokia 1616 for £14.99 and the Samsung E1080 for £9.99. Also on T-Mobile, the Motorola Flipout is available for £20 a month. The deal consists of 300 minutes, 300 texts, unlimited mobile web and one ‘flexible booster’. Customers also pick up a free colour case for the phone when they purchase it.
