Hartwood Service’s Frank Masson reckons M2M services are set to increase as data hungry consumers step up mobile internet usage
“Data is central to everything. Vodafone and O2 are both spending £1m a day to upgrade infrastructure.
“Such investment is not for the faint hearted when you see voice revenues trending down.
“Operators must see a return.
“O2 recently said its business is not just mobile, it’s about broader communications.
“This increased network capacity will see even more interesting and appropriate lifestyle apps.
“M-commerce will make cash almost a thing of the past. M2M services will explode.
“O2 and Vodafone have already showed their hands. E-health and e-marketing will be more prolific.
“All to see that return on investment being made now.”
