P4U outsources IT support


Deal will see all hardware support for point of sale and back office equipment from all its stores outsourced to IT service provider

Retailer Phones 4U has signed a three year deal with IT service provider Servo to outsource its IT hardware support for all of its UK stores.

In total Servo will support 36,000 devices including all point of sale and back-office equipment in over 500 stores and store-in-stores.

Phones 4U head of IT managed services Dave Robertson said: “Our number one commitment is to deliver customer excellence and the stores rely on IT to help them achieve this.

“Servo’s support is vital to ensure that it remains business as usual for us and that we continue to deliver a first class retail service.

“The deal strengthens the relationship between the two companies – Servo already supports Phones 4U with IT procurement, warehouse services, store refurbishment and new store openings.”
