Three pens MVNO deal with Unify Mobile

Operator adds to its MVNO partnerships by signing up Unify Mobile, with a planned service launch in the UK scheduled for early in Q2

Three has signed a full MVNO deal with international mobile company Unify Mobile. It adds to Three’s current list of MVNO partners which include aql, Stream Communications and X-Mobility.

The agreement will see Unify Mobile extend its international footprint and customer base to the UK with a complete service launch, planned in early Q2.

Unify operates the fourth mobile network in Switzerland, the USA and Liechtenstein as well as full MVNOs in the Netherlands and Germany. The company focuses on building a customer base targeted at the business and international communities, alongside traditional models.

Three director of wholesale Lynda Burton said: “The Unifiy Mobile deal is a strong start to 2011, with Three having tripled wholesale growth in 2010 amongst its MVNO partners.”

Unify Mobile chief executive Bart Verkruijssen said: “Operating Unify services on Three’s network gives us the opportunity to really differentiate and offer customers the very latest in mobile voice and data services.”
