Envirofone parent appoints experienced technology officer as it looks to dominate the recycling market in the UK and Europe
Handset recycler Eazyfone has appointed a new chief technology officer as it continues its push to dominate the UK mobile recycling sector.
David Halsey joins the company- which owns online recycler Envirofone – from car sales website autotrader.co.uk and will be responsible for the companies global IT solutions going forward.
Prior to working at autotrader.co.uk Halsey was IT consultancy Informed Solutions senior technical consultant where he was involved the Three network as well as the Department of trade and Industry.
Halsey said: “The growth in new and existing markets will undoubtedly bring fresh opportunities and Eazyfone is investing significantly to meet this need and further develop the sector.
“Central to that success is technology and I will be working closely with the team to ensure we have the capacity to deliver our extensive IT requirements, while creating new ways to meet customer needs.
Halsey’s arrival at Eazyfone comes on the back the appointment of Herman Spruit as the company’s chief executive last September.
Both men are seen as vital to Eazyfone’s next phase of growth which is based on an expansion into both the European consumer market and the reseller sector in Europe, Asia and Africa.
