Avenir signs 12 franchisees for Connecting Business

Dozen partners signed up for distributor’s price comparison website, with an FA Cup final dealer incentive also launched for the best performing O2 connectors this month

Avenir Telecom has signed up 12 franchisees for its price comparison site Connecting Business and is in the process of recruiting more.

The distributor is now in the testing and refinement stage of the site, which will enable customers to compare business mobile tariffs from all five UK operators and direct them to their local dealer partners.

The website, which has no affiliation with Avenir Telecom itself, will work by businesses entering account information such as handset numbers and minutes required.

Customers will be able to purchase online, with Avenir Telecom fulfilling transactions to O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Three. Customers choosing to connect to Vodafone will be referred to it, with Avenir Telecom taking a payment for lead generation.

Businesses requesting to discuss a deal in person will be passed to approved Avenir Telecom dealers. Each will have an “exclusive” geographic area under the new plan, with Avenir Telecom controlling all distribution and stock management.

Meanwhile Avenir Telecom is this month running a dealer incentive that sees the top four performing O2 connectors win a match ticket with corporate hospitality to the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on May 14.

Existing and new dealers joining the distributor will be rewarded with goals. They score one goal for ever mobile broadband or fixed line connection made, two for every business voice connection and a hat-trick for every new business voice connection with a BlackBerry bolt-on, which includes BES and BIS.

Avenir Telecom managing director Andy Tow said: “This is just the start of some extremely exciting incentives that we have coming up in 2011. Tickets for the FA Cup final are like gold dust so we are thrilled to be able to get our hands on them and reward our dealers for all their hard work.”
