iPad 2 sparks tablet recycling surge


Money4urMobile.com receiving 50 times more tablet recycling orders since details of the Apple iPad 2 were announced

Mobile phone and tablet recycling website Money4urMobile.com has revealed it has received 50 times more orders to recycle tablet computers in the past three weeks compared to orders received from January 1 to March 2, 2011.

With the Money4urMobile.com is predicting a rapid increase in the number of consumers looking to exchange their tablet for the latest model, especially with the upcoming launch of tablets such as the BlackBerry PlayBook, Motorola XOOM, HTC Flyer, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Dell Streak.

Simon Dunn of Money4urMobile.com said: “We have seen a huge surge in tablet recycling in the past few weeks since the iPad 2 launch date was confirmed. We anticipate an increase in recycling orders over the coming weeks from consumers upgrading to the new model for the sought-after Apple iPad 2 or one of the upcoming Android models.”
