Retailer says poll carried out amongst its customers shows demand and desire for Android devices is ten per cent higher than for Apple handsets
High street retailer Phones 4U says a poll amongst its client base has found Android to be the “firm favourite” in the smartphone category.
The survey, conducted amongst 596 Phones 4U customers showed Android’s popularity was 10 per cent greater than Apple’s IOS system – taking 36 per cent of the total vote.
Research carried out by the operator also found that 23 per cent of customers had an Android based handset compared to the 20 per cent that used Apple’s.
Phones 4U Marketing Director Russell Braterman (pictured) said: “The popularity of Android continues to grow and it is now fast becoming the operating system of choice.”
