Operator says “groundbreaking” device is available across its retail estate from today, free on a £35 a month contract
Orange today started exclusively stocking the new Motorola ATRIX (pictured, plugged into laptop) across its retail estate .
With features such as finger print enabled security, a 1GHz dual core processor and the capacity to connect to high definition televisions to play games and music and show videos, Orange believes the device will be popular with consumers.
Orange head of device portfolio Nicola Shenton said: “This really is the ultimate smart phone for gadget fans packed full of tech wizardry and features that any aspiring spy would be proud of.
“With its multimedia accessories and groundbreaking fingerprint swipe access, this is an innovative handset that Orange is proud to be bringing to the UK first.”
The device will be free on a £35 per month, 24 month contract and includes 600 minutes, 750 MB of data allowance, unlimited texts, 50 MMS and unlimited Wi-Fi (subject to fair usage) every month.
Orange Business customers are also able to receive the device for free when purchased as part of the Solo 55 package.
A Motorola ATRIX “Work and Play Kit” which includes a remote control, mouse, HD multimedia dock and keyboard will be made available to new ATRIX owners for £49.99, down from the standard retail price of £129.99.
Existing Orange customers who upgrade to the ATRIX throughout May will be eligible to receive the kit for free.
