Agreement will see Virgin stock Doro’s PhoneEasy 409gsm with the potential to stock more devices in time
Virgin Media has become the latest high street retailer to partner with Swedish manufacturer Doro, when it started stocking the Doro PhoneEasy 409gsm today (June 1).
Doro, which produces handsets for the senior market will see the PhoneEasy 409gsm – its current marquee device become available across Virgin’s retail estate and through its website.
Depending on sales of the device, further Doro handsets will then become available from Virgin Media at a later date.
The PhoneEasy 409gsm is priced at £49.99 when bought with £10 of airtime and is also available for free on pay monthly from £7.50 a month.
Doro UK managing director Chris Millington (pictured) who last month told Mobile News sales of Doro handsets increased by over 200 per cent during Q4 said the new relationship would strengthen his company’s position in the market further.
“Virgin Media’s focus on the modern family – and their ability to provide a suite of services that all the family can enjoy is why we’re excited about working with them in the future,” Millington said.
“Virgin Media offers a clean and crisp customer experience at every touch point – from ordering through to billing.”
Speaking about the launch of the range Virgin Media director of mobile Jamie Heywood said the Doro range fitted “perfectly” into its current selection of handsets.
“This handset is a great option for our customers who want simplicity from their mobile phone and great calling features,” Heywood said.
