Agreement marks marks Kondor’s debut into the gaming market as well as Playfect’s entry into the UK
Consumer electronics accessories Kondor has signed a UK exclusive partnership with gaming accessories developer Playfect to supply its retail partners with the company’s products.
Kondor’s retail partners include Currys, Argos, Tesco and Asda. The agreement marks Kondor’s debut into the gaming industry, as well as Playfect’s entry into the UK market.
Playfect is currently selling through a number of major retail channels in more than 20 countries. It manufactures, develops and designs more than 400 video game accessories for all Sony Playstaiton and Nintendo Wii models, Xbox Kinect as well as the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play handset.
Kondor commercial director Michael Bartlett (pictured) said: “With continued mobile convergence, moving further into the gaming market is a key strategy for us. The UK has the highest ratio of consoles per person, and with some exciting device and console launches this year, the gaming market offers our customers some great opportunities for successful accessories sales.”
Playfect sales and marketing director Liran Akavia said: “Experience and a good reputation, teamed with after sales support were amongst the reasons for working with Kondor on the exclusive launch of Playfect in the UK.”
