IT manufacturer’s first tablet device to use Palm’s webOS operating system will go on sale at the retailer in mid-July
The HP TouchPad is now available to pre-order from The Carphone Warehouse for deliver in mid-July. It will be priced from £399 for the 16GB or £479 for the 32GB standalone tablet.
It is the first tablet from the company to use Palm’s webOS operating system. HP acquired Palm in April last year for £788 million.
The TouchPad comes with multitasking abilities with all contacts, appointments, photos and messages automatically synced from sources such as Facebook, Google and Microsoft Exchange.
The Just Type function enables users to start email, create a message, update their status and search for their favourite websites before opening an application.
