Manufacturer adds ‘ray’ and ‘active’ added to Xperia portfolio, with ‘txt’ offering separate QWERTY option
Sony Ericsson has launched a trio of handsets that will hit global markets next quarter.
The Xperia ray (pictured left) is built within an aluminum frame and comes with a 3.3 inch touchscreen. Embedded is ‘Mobile BRAVIA Engine’, which Sony Ericsson claimed dramatically improves the quality of images, as well as ‘Exmor R for mobile sensor’ which it said enables the capture of high quality, bright pictures and HD videos in low light.
Also included is an 8.1 megapixel camera. The phone will be available in black, gold, white and pink.
The Xperia active (pictured right) isdust proof, water resistant and also comes with a three inch scratch resistant touchscreen. It comes embedded with an on-screen heart monitoring applications and also features a five megapixel camera with HD functionality.
The txt (pictured centre) comes with a full QWERTY keyboard with 2.6 inch display and 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording. It includes a ‘Friends’ application that enables users to see Facebook and Twitter updates from their top 5 friends and will be available in white, black, pink and blue.
