Manufacturer and operator in deal to allow customers to pay for applications via their monthly bill
Three has partnered with Nokia to launch its own dedicated page on the Ovi store for its customers using the latest generation of the manufacturer’s Symbian smartphones.
The agreement which will be available to both prepay and pay monthly customers and will also allow the latter to pay directly for applications via their monthly bill.
Three’s page on the Ovi Store will include a section known as “Three Likes” where a choice of 40 applications recommended by Three will appear.
Nokia has recently launched a new handset – the X7 which is the first handset to run a new version of the Ovi Store.
Three began stocking this device on July 5 these customers will be able to utilise the new service.
Speaking about the agreement Three director of products and services Charlotte Spencer said: “This unique Ovi Store partnership is another example of how Three is enhancing the customer experience and is leading the smartphone revolution.”
Nokia UK general manager Conor Pierce said: “We are extremely pleased to be able to provide operators an easy and flexible way in which to both differentiate themselves in the market place as well as providing a unique and targeted offering to their consumers.”
