Virgin is offering 12-month mobile contracts and new bolt ons, as well as mobile bundle deals for Virgin Media fixed-line customers
Virgin has revamped its monthly mobile tariffs with shorter contract offers and a new range of bolt-ons designed to give customers more flexibility.
New and existing Virgin customers can now plump for 12-month contracts on a selected range of handsets. Virgin said the shorter contracts, which have become increasingly rare in the UK in recent years, are aimed at customers who want to keep up to date with new handsets.
The new bolt-ons include a £2 per month deal doubling the number of inclusive voice minutes, and an additional data allowance of 5GB for £5 per month. Both are only available on certain tariffs.
The MVNO is also offering Virgin Media home phone customers on its M tariff the chance to use its “Monthly Mobile Bonus” bundle deal, which Virgin claims can save customers £192 over a 24-month contract.
Virgin fixed-line customers on the M tariff who opt for a 24-month mobile contract with Virgin will get a choice of any handset from Virgin’s range on tariffs of £15.99 and above.
The deal has been available to Virgin fixed-line customers on the more expensive L and XL tariffs since April. The Mobile Bonus deal is not available on 12-month contracts.
Virgin Media director of mobile Jamie Heywood (pictured) said: “Our newly refreshed monthly mobile tariffs offer a simpler way for our customers to tailor their phone packages to suit their needs, whilst giving customers greater contract flexibility, more minutes, texts and mobile data.
“These tariffs will really come into their own when combined with our popular Mobile Bonus deal to give Virgin Media customers a fantastic way to save money whilst getting more from their home phone or Mobile service.”
