Latest tablet from manufacturer on sale at DSG stores nationwide today, before being made available at a number of retailers and operators later this month
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the latest tablet computer to join the handset manufacturer’s portfolio following the original Tab device, has gone on sale in the UK today.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is available in both 3G and Wi-Fi only versions. The latter of the two has now gone on sale at DSG stores nationwide for £399, with the 3G version being made available at a range of retailers and operators including Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone and Tesco.
The device, which is 8.6mm thick, runs off the latest version of Android, Honeycomb 3.1 and features a 10.1 inch TFT LCD screen. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and supports speeds of up to 21Mbps.
Samsung Mobile UK and Ireland managing director Simon Stanford said: “The interest we’ve had in the Galaxy Tab 10.1 since it was first announced at the beginning of the year has been phenomenal. Our lates tablet device in the Galaxy range is an example of Samsung’s ongoing innovation and a clear statement of intent within the tablet market.”
Samsung’s third tablet to join the Galaxy Tab range, the Galaxy Tab 8.9, will be available in the UK later this year.
