Former Vodafone and Yes Telecom fixed-line manager Keith Horstead joins, as dealer is awarded new three-year contract by Nokia to continue as one of its official service centres

Vodafone gold partner Town and Country Unified Comms has appointed former Vodafone and Yes Telecom fixed-line manager Keith Horsted, to head up its fixed-line and unified communications operations.

Horsted spent two-and-a-half years as Vodafone’s operations director for converged services from March 2004, before taking on the role of general manager for fixed-line at Yes Telecom for almost two years.

Town and Country has also been awarded a new three-year contract by Nokia to continue as one of its official service centres. The company is now refurbishing and extending its service centre to accommodate growth in its trade and retail out-of-warranty iPhone, BlackBerry and HTC repairs business.

The Sandhurst-based B2B dealer will also go on a recruitment drive in the coming months, having taken ownership of its entire three-floor building. Traditionally located on the bottom floor, in January 2011 it took on the top floor and has now taken the first floor as well.

Town and Country Unified Comms managing director Geraint George (pictured) said: “We’ve made these moves because it is becoming increasingly important to embrace unified comms. As we grow we’ll need more staff, so we’re working on recruiting the right people at the moment.”
