O2 promotes Voysey to new O2 Media role

O2 promotes business manager Simon Voysey to new post of creative solutions manager to develop “intelligent and inventive” campaign ideas at O2 Media 

O2 has promoted business manager Simon Voysey (pictured) to the newly-created role of creative solutions manager.

He will work on developing ways that O2 Media can work with advertising agencies on non-traditional advertising, as well as making mobile advertising work more effectively to support TV, press and outdoor advertising.

Voysey joined O2 in 2009, and helped launch O2 More, which offers O2 customers special promotions such as gig tickets via text message.

Previously he spent 14 years in the media sector at media firms including TopTable, Channel 4, N1 Creative and TMG.

O2 has also appointed Gavin Emes as an account manager at O2 Media. Emes previously worked at Johannesburg-based mobile add company Mobi Media.

O2 Media managing director Shaun Gregory said: “With Simon’s new role we’re further strengthening our offerings for both brands and agencies. Mobile has cemented its position in the media plan but we now have to be able to offer intelligent and inventive ideas for campaigns. With in-house creative solutions we no longer need to rely on outsourced partners.
