Follow up to Samsung’s first tablet now on sale at Carphone, before becoming available through Best Buy’s website on Friday
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has gone on sale at The Carphone Warehouse. Available in black and white, the 16GB model is being offered for either £399 for the Wi-Fi version or from £499 on a range of different contracts, which start from £15 a month for a Vodafone 30 day rolling contract.
The device, which is 8.6mm thick, runs off the latest version of Android, Honeycomb 3.1 and features a 10.1 inch TFT LCD screen. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and supports speeds of up to 21Mbps.
Best Buy Europe CEO Andrew Harrison said: “The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is truly paving the way for upgrades on features in tablets to meet the changing demands of consumers on the go. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 fills the gap in the market between laptops, e-readers, TVs and smartphones, combining all in one with a high definition screen and capabilities.”
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available from www.bestbuy.co.uk on September 9 and all Best Buy stores on September 22.
