Sunrise Unified Communications becomes third company under Sunrise umbrella, headed up by director Chris Jones
Milton Keynes-based mobile dealer Sunrise Associates has created a new business, focussed on unified communications.
The new company, Sunrise Unified Communications, was incorporated through Companies House in July, and becomes the third company under the Sunrise umbrella, which also includes IT consultancy business Switch IT.
It will be headed up by Sunrise director Chris Jones who is now group sales director.
Jones told Mobile News Sunrise has secured a reseller agreement with BT for its Wholesale Line Rental 3 (WLR3) telephony service and will specialise in selling PBX products from Mitel, Aviya, Panasonic and Siemens.
At the same time, Sunrise will look to include network-related products and services, such as Vodafone One Net.
Sunrise has appointed two new members of staff – a unified specialist and an internal customer care specialist – to spearhead the new company’s push into the unified comms space taking total numbers to 15. More staff are being added over the course of the year.
Jones said: “Sunrise is predominantly in the mobile space and today the worlds are converging in terms of a unified service.
“There is a very strong PBX market for our customers, so we can go to them now as a business that has different solutions and different resources.”
