Company aiming to fill positions before the start of 2012  as it looks to expand its East Lancashire base

Communications provider Daisy Group is on the hunt for 100 new staff before the end of the year, adding to its current count of 1,500 employees as it celebrates a decade in business.

Daisy Group recently expanded its base in Nelson, Lancashire with the opening of a new premises adjacent to its head offices. This makes room for 700 new jobs.

To mark 10 years since the business’ first ever bill run on September 23, 2001, all of Daisy’s employees were given cup cakes and a special anniversary edition on internal magazine Daisy Days.

Daisy Group was originally started out of the garage of CEO Matthew Riley in 2001 and has since grown to be one of the largest providers of unified communications in the UK with 75,000 customers.

In the 12 months to March 31, 2011, Daisy Group almost doubled revenues to £266.3 million as well as nearly quadrupling EBITDA to £40.7 million.

Through acquisitive and organic growth, Daisy Group now has 15 offices spread throughout the UK.

Daisy Group CEO Matthew Riley said: “We have come a long way since I founded the business back in 2001. Our first bill was completed on September 23, 2001 in which we invoiced three clients, a long way from the 75,000 that we now invoice each month.

“It is with a sense of pride that today I stand alongside 1,500 colleagues within the business, still with the same ambition. In addition, many of the people that joined us when we were still a young company are still with us today and have grown their careers with the business.

“We are still looking to grow our business, not least our East Lancashire base, and are always looking for ambitious people to join us.”
