Huawei makes David Poskett enterprise channel chief

New enterprise channel director for UK and Ireland to set up two tier channel programme and expand partner base

Huawei has appointed former Cisco and Hewlett Packard executive David Poskett (pictured) as UK enterprise channel director.

Huawei said Poskett will be tasked with setting up a new two tier distribution programme and expanding Huawei’s partner base in the UK and Ireland.

He will be responsible for overseeing Huawei’s channel in the UK and Ireland, working with the firm’s marketing and sales teams.

Huawei UK enterprise business vice president Simon Culmer said: “With David’s extensive experience with the UK & Ireland channel community, I expect Huawei to fast-track its way to success in this area as channels are absolutely key to our growth. We will not transact directly with end-users, rather we will be in close contact with them, to position Huawei, our products and services and to fulfil our partners’ needs 100%.”

Poskett said: “The emergence of cloud computing and the convergence of ICT has transformed the entire industry. There are unprecedented new opportunities for Huawei in the channel and I look forward to being involved in this strategic growth in the UK, which is a key market for Huawei.”
