Apple unveils iPhone 4S handset


Apple unveils iPhone 4S – Everything Everywhere (Orange and T-Mobile) and O2  will stock the device from October 14

Apple has today (October 4) unveiled its latest mobile handset the iPhone 4S.

The device  was unveiled to journalists during a press conference billed ‘let’s talk iPhone’ at Apple’s Californian headquarters by new CEO Tim Cook, who replaced Steve Jobs in August.

Cook  described the iPhone 4S, an update to its best selling device the iPhone 4, as “the most amazing iPhone yet”.

Updated features include a dual core processor, an 8-megapixel camera and HD video capture.

The camera also includes an A5 chip which provides additional features such as face detection.

The device will also offer 8 hours of talk time on 3G or 14 hours of 2G talk time.

The device will also include Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 5, which can also be downloaded to previous models, the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS.

Orange and T-Mobile parent company Everything Everywhere and O2 have confirmed this evening they will all stock the device from October 14.
