O2 Media adds former Microsoft man to head up client strategy

Former Microsoft Advertising creative media strategist Andreas Nicolaou joins as recruitment drive continues

O2 Media has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of Andreas Nicolaou as head of client strategy.

Nicolaou (pictured) will now manage O2 Media’s client sales team and be responsible for developing mobile marketing solutions and working directly with client marketing directors in industry sections such as retail, FMCG and entertainment.

Prior to his new role, Nicolaou worked at Microsoft Advertising for three years as creative media strategist. He has also spent over eight years at a number of other media agencies.

O2 Media has also added to its agency sales team with the appointment of Alexandra Davies as agency sales manager. She joins from Channel 4’s future and digital media advertising team.

O2 Media commercial director Gary Cole said: “O2 Media has made incredible progress in the last year and we continue our search to hire the best and brightest talent the media industry has to offer.  Our plans, roadmap and ambitions mean that we have an ongoing need for great people and this is largely being driven by client needs and education.

As a key new member of our commercial team, Andreas will help us take our thought leadership programme to the next level and really bring to life how mobile marketing can have a huge impact in key industry sectors.”
