Retailers say they will offer the largest choice of operators for 4GS, and will also stock the new iPhone 4 8GB
Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy have announced they will stock the iPhone 4S, expected to be released on October 14.
The firms said that the device is now available to pre-order, but stocks may initially be “limited”.
Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy claim they will offer the widest choice of operators, and is already listing the device on contract from Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile.
The firms said they will also be stocking the new 8GB version of the iPhone 4 from October 14.
Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy CEO Andrew Harrison said: “There has been more anticipation than ever surrounding the unveiling of the iPhone 4S. Tuesday’s announcement marks another milestone in the history of a truly iconic mobile device.
“We’ve seen a lot of eager customers asking when it will be available and we are doing our best to offer as many devices as possible for both new and existing customers. The exciting new developments, especially the introduction of Siri, will no doubt be a huge draw for iPhone fans”.
