Retailer can now compare its performance against the rest of the market and view market share across the board, analysing where it needs to improve
Fonehouse has struck a deal with market research company GfK to enable it to have access to all the firm’s mobile market data.
The data includes market share for individual manufacturers and operating systems. It enables Fonehouse to see what it sells compared to the rest of the market, and therefore areas it may need to focus more strongly in.
Fonehouse commercial director Daniel Schama (pictured) said: “This provides us with a lot more intelligence on what we sell and why we sell it. The more intelligence we have, the better we can plan and the more meaningful the offers we can put together for franchisees and our own stores.
It has also been really useful for us in spotting gaps, and ensuring what the market is doing so we can see where we’re missing out. It’s something we’ll be focusing quite heavily on in 2012
