Andrew Griffiths takes over role covering Mobile, Consumer Electronics and IT divisions, as mobile division gets renamed
Samsung Electronics has appointed Andrew Griffiths as UK and Ireland managing director.
Griffiths was previously vice president of Consumer Electronics at Samsung UK and Ireland.
He replaces David Song, who is moving to a new role as head of global PC sales & marketing for Samsung’s PC business.
Prior to joining Samsung he spent a decade at Sony.
Griffiths will be assisted by Jy Kim, who takes on the new role of deputy managing director for Samsung UK and Ireland.
Simon Stanford will continue as UK and Ireland managing director of Samsung Mobile, which will now include Samsung’s networks business and will be renamed Samsung Telecommunications and Networks.
