Former Orange Group devices marketing director Gareth Abel joins the handset manufacturer as it predicts it will exceed the successes it achieved last year
Samsung has appointed Gareth Abel as its new UK and Ireland mobile marketing director. He reports to Samsung UK and Ireland telecommunications and networks managing director Simon Stanford.
Abel is charged with continuing to increase the company’s brand awareness across the mobile division and the marketing and go-to-market strategy for all products within the mobile division.
His previous roles include devices marketing director at Orange Group, where he worked for over 10 years. Most recently he was group managing director at telecoms provider Etisalat for over two years, based in Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
