Agreement with FeedHenry will see the launch of a new mobile application platform through O2 UK later this quarter
Telefónica Digital has signed an exclusive partnership with cloud-based mobile applications solutions developer FeedHenry to launch a platform to enable businesses to build their own apps.
The service will be launched by O2 later this quarter before being rolled out to other Telefónica markets.
The subscription-based platform will enable all enterprises the ability to create apps and deploy them across the Android, Apple iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7 and Nokia operating systems.
The operator will also manage the contractual and billing relationship with the customer.
It said the partnership with FeedHenry follows the success of the one between the two companies in Ireland, paving the way for the service to be rolled-out to other Telefónica businesses in due course.
Telefónica Digital chairman and CEO Matthew Key (pictured) said: “This partnership will be welcome news for any organisation that recognises the power of mobile apps and how they can drive increased revenue, boost employee productivity and enhance the overall customer experience.
“We’ve enjoyed great success launching a similar platform in Ireland earlier this year and already list Aer Lingus, Diageo and PWC among our customers.”
