Vodafone has partnered with Star Wars founder George Lucas’ studios to create a multimedia campaign starring Jedi Master Yoda
Vodafone will launch a new multimedia advertising campaign starring Star Wars character Yoda (pictured) to promote its new technical services.
The campaign will start tomorrow (January 19) with a 60 second TV commercial which will premier on Channel 4 between 8pm and 9pm.
It will be followed up by an outdoor and digital campaign also featuring Yoda which will highlight its RED Box phone transfer service, Buyback recycling service, Data Test Drive three month mobile internet trial and its Tech Team customer support system.
The TV commercials have all been produced by a team at Star Wars creator George Lucas’ Lucasfilm’s San Francisco-based visual effects facility Industrial Light and Magic.
The character of Yoda is voiced by Tom Kane who has played the voice of Yoda ten times including Star Wars: Clone Wars and 24 computer games.
Vodafone director of brand marketing Danielle Crook said: “These small things can mean the world to our customers – it’s why we have developed a range of simple services to help them feel confidently connected on the go.
“The campaign with Yoda shows that you don’t need to be a Jedi Master to unlock the power of mobile internet.”
