A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street


There’s a saving of £325 when you choose a Samsung Nexus S on a £15.50 per month Orange deal offering 50 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data. The HTC HD 7 is free with a £21.50 per month deal on O2 that includes 200 cross-network minutes, 250 O2 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data, and the Nokia E7-000 is free on a £10.50 per month Vodafone plan offering 100 minutes and 500 texts. There is a handset saving of £240 on both of these options. On the prepay front there is £180 off the price of the Samsung Galaxy Ace, which now costs £119.95. Carphone has also slashed the price of its tablet range, with the BlackBerry PlayBook taking the biggest hit. The 16GB model is £169 (was £399), the 32GB model £199 (was £479) and the 64GB model £329 (was £559).


The ‘Off The Scale’ sale is now on. You can save £300 on the handset price when you sign up for the BlackBerry Curve 9380 on a £15.50 per month Orange deal that comes with 50 minutes, 3,000 texts and 250 minutes. The HTC Sensation XL costs £39 on a £20.43 per month contract on T-Mobile that includes 300 minutes, 300 texts and a ‘flexible booster’. This is a saving of £130 on the handset price. The HTC Sensation XE also costs £39 when bought on a £20.50 per month Orange contract that offers 200 minutes, 3,000 texts and 100MB of data, resulting in a handset saving of £100. There is £250 o the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which now costs £199.95, and £230 o the BlackBerry Curve 9380, now £219.95.


The Apple iPhone 4S is now free on a £36 per month Orange deal with 300 minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB of data and 3GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi. The Samsung Galaxy S II is down to £21.50 per month with the handset free, offering 100 minutes, 500 texts, 500MB of data, 20 picture messages and Wi-Fi via the Cloud and BT Openzone.


There’s £20 o the prepay price of both the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and HTC Explorer, which both now cost £119.99. There is six months’ worth of free internet on both offers, with the Explorer coming with unlimited UK texts when the customer tops up by £10.


There is £50 o the prepay price of both the HTC ChaCha and Samsung Wave 578, which now cost £139.99 and £99.99 respectively. Customers can also get £100 of free credit on selected phones when they top up by £10 per month for £10 months, including the HTC Wildfire S in black and white (£149.99) and the BlackBerry Curve 9300 (£139.99). Customers looking for a broadband option will receive a £40 voucher to use in M&S when they sign up to Orange home broadband through its online store.


There are 10 o ers on contract and prepay as part of O2’s January sale. The best of these sees the HTC Sensation XL free on a £32 per month deal with 600 cross-network minutes, 500 O2 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. The Xperia arc S comes free with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data at a cost of £27 per month. There are big prepay reductions as well, with £80 o the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which now costs £199.99. The LG Optimus Net costs £149.99 and the HTC Explorer is priced at £139.99, representing savings of £50 and £60 respectively.
