Device to be initially available exclusively from John Lewis before launching in additional channels throughout next month
A white version of the Samsung Galaxy Note will go on sale exclusively at retailer John Lewis on Oxford Street in London on Monday (January 23).
The exclusivity through the retailer will see the device come with £250 of free music, films and e-Books for the first 100 customers. Additional channels will begin selling it during February.
The Galaxy Note, which is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and runs off Android 2.3 Gingerbread, comes with a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, eight megapixel rear camera and two megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.
It is available in 16GB and 32GB models, with memory expandable by a further 32GB with a microSD card.
‘S Choice’ is also available with the Galaxy Note, Samsung’s new category of applications designed for the device’s pen. They are available to customers from the Samsung Apps store.
Samsung UK and Ireland telecommunications and networks division managing director Simon Stanford said: “The Galaxy Note is an innovative addition to the Samsung Galaxy family and a new category of device that consumers can’t get anywhere else.”
