Samsung to release Tocco Lite 2 in March


Follow up to successful Tocco Lite to go on sale at all major UK networks and retailers from next month

Samsung is to release its Tocco Lite 2 smartphone in the UK in early March, available across all major networks and retailers.

The Tocco Lite 2 is the successor to the original Tocco Lite, which went on sale in May 2009 and has had sales of 30 million units globally since launch.

It features a three inch touchscreen and 3.2 megapixel camera, with memory of up to 16GB with a microSD card.

Also included is Samsung’s communication service ChatON, enabling owners to catch up with other through personalised multimedia messages, group chat, Facebook, Twitter or using instant messaging services such as MSN, Yahoo and Google Talk.

Samsung UK and Ireland telecommunications and networks division managing director Simon Stanford said: “Our range of Tocco devices have been among our best selling over the past few years.

“Thanks to the incredible response we’ve had to the original Tocco Lite and Tocco Icon handsets, we’re excited to now be offering our customers improved social networking and enhanced multimedia capabilities with the Tocco Lite 2.”
