Vodafone confirms roaming focused Cubic Telecom will use it network to provide cheap calls to its customers when they visit the UK
Vodafone and Irish roaming service provider Cubic Telecom have signed a MVNO agreement for its Maxroam customers to use the operator’s network for calls, texts and data when they are in the UK.
While in the UK, Maxroam customers will be able to call countries for 15 cents per minute and also make use of data bundles starting from 250MB for €6.
The deal with Vodafone joins similar agreements Cubic has for its Maxroam service in 230 countries globally.
Vodafone director of wholesale Nick Parbutt (pictured) said: “This supports our strategy of recruiting the right growth partners into our business. We look forward to building success with Cubic.”
Cubic Telecom’s Commercial Director Gerry McQuaid, commented: “This deal with Vodafone UK is the first of many which will propel us further to achieving our vision of a global connectivity service that gives customers convenience and cost savings all on one global prepaid simcard.”
