Cordingley leaves Shebang to set up own consultancy firm

Shebang Business Solutions managing director leaves company to set up Pomegranate Soup, with former employer becoming her first client

Tanny Cordingley has left her role as Shebang Business Solutions managing director to set up her own consultancy firm, Pomegranate Soup.

Cordingley, who has worked in the mobile industry for 20 years with Avenir, Vodafone, Brightstar and Shebang, set up the business this month.

She described it as a “blend of different services” across a number of different business sectors, including mobile.

Services offered include help with cost optimisation, business strategy, PR and marketing, and recruitment.

Cordingley joined Shebang last May to head its Business Solutions division, leading its B2B franchise programme following a group-wide restructure to separate the company’s distribution, retail, B2B and software divisions.

In her role as a consultant to Shebang Technologies Group, Cordingley will continue to head up the company’s indirect B2B operation.

Cordingley says she retains an “excellent” working relationship with Shebang, which has become her first Pomegranate client. She said she will be advising the distributor on a number of projects, including leading its B2B indirect operation.

Cordingley said: “I have intended to start up my own company for a while now. After a great deal of work and the culmination of some long-term planning, the various bits have finally fallen into place.”
