Latest iPad from the US manufacturer becomes its fastest selling tablet device to date
Apple has sold three million of its new iPad since its launch last Friday (March 16), becoming its fastest selling tablet device so far.
The new iPad, which is powered by Apple’s new A5X chip with quad-core graphics, has a retina screen, five megapixel camera and HD video recording capabilities.
It is on sale in the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland and the US Virgin Islands.
It will be available in 24 more countries from this Friday (March 23), including Ireland, all Scandinavian countries, Greece, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain. It can be bought through the Apple online store, its retail stores and authorised resellers.
The iPad Wi-Fi in black and white costs £399 for the 16GB model, £479 for the 32GB model and £559 for the 64GB model.
The iPad Wi-Fi + 4G costs £499 for the 16GB model, £579 for the 32GB model and £659 for the 64GB model. All prices include VAT.
