Samsung logo will appear on Honda British Superbike team bikes, pits and hospitality suites as part of two year deal

Samsung Mobile has announced it will become the title sponsor for Honda UK’s British Superbike (BSB) team, signing a two year deal for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

Under the agreement Samsung will see its logo appear on the teams bikes (pictured) as well as driver leathers, the teams motor and team areas such as the pit and hospitality areas.

It will also gain access to exclusive content from Honda which it will be able to share with its customers through its device range such as the Samsung Galaxy Note.

The deal follows on from Samsung’s deal with Crescent Racing during the 2011 BSB season and Crescent’s 2011 BSB Riders Cup winner John Kirkham joining the Honda Team.

Kirkham has been a Samsung brand ambassador for two years and will continue in his role following the Honda deal.

Samsung UK and Ireland telecommunications and Networks Division vice president Simon Stanford said: “As world champions four times over and with numerous British titles under their belts, we are thrilled to be coming on board as title sponsor of this team and continuing to take our leading and innovative mobile technology brand to the receptive and diverse motorsport audience.”

Honda UK Motorcycles general manager Steve Martindale added: “From a commercial and team perspective we are delighted to forge this new relationship with Samsung Mobile, a brand that shares much of our own company philosophy for providing quality and innovative products for our customers.

“We look forward to sharing with Samsung even further racing successes that Honda Racing has enjoyed over the years.”
