A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street

PHONES 4U

The Sony Xperia S in black and white is available for free on Orange, Vodafone and O2. The best deal is on Orange, where the phone is free on a £28.50 per month contract with 600 minutes, 3,000 texts and 500MB of data. Customers can also now pre-order the HTC One S and One X handsets, which both go on sale on April 5. The One S will come in black and grey and offers the most value on a Vodafone deal, coming free with 900 minutes, 3,000 texts and 500MB of data. The One X will be available in black and white and on the Vodafone, Orange and O2 networks. The best value is offered on a £36 per month Orange deal that comes with 600 minutes, 3,000 texts and 1GB of data. Customers will also receive a free HTC MediaLink HD device worth £79.99 when they choose one of these phones.

CARPHONE WAREHOUSE

The retailer is pushing its trade-in scheme, ‘Bigger Buy Back’ at the moment. Customers can get £250 for an Apple iPhone 4 16GB and £231 for a Samsung Galaxy S II. There are also offers on a number of BlackBerry and Nokia handsets, as well as other iPhone and Samsung models. The iPhone 4 8GB is available for free on a £26 per month Vodafone deal offering 100 minutes, 500 texts, 2GB of data and Wi-Fi via BT Openzone. The Samsung Galaxy Ace on Three has had £180 knocked off its prepay price, and now costs £299.95, while the Galaxy Europa on Three is priced at £39.95, having been £109.95.

VODAFONE

There are 50 per cent more monthly minutes being offered on the white Samsung Galaxy S II when customers sign up to a £31 per month contract. It comes with 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. The iPhone 4S has had £5 knocked off its line rental. It is free, having originally cost £49 upfront, and comes with 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data. The first 10,000 customers that choose the Nokia Lumia 800 on contract will receive a £10 voucher every month for the first six months to spend at retailers including Starbucks, Amazon and Vue cinemas.

O2

There are sales on the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Torch 9810. The Bold 9900 is free on a £21.50 per month contract offering 200 cross-network minutes, 250 minutes to other O2 mobiles, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. The Torch 9810 is free on a £16.50 tariff that comes with 50 minutes, 250 texts and 500MB of data. The BlackBerry Bold 9790 has £5 off its line rental for the first three months, representing a saving of £90. It comes with 900 cross-network minutes, unlimited calls to other O2 mobiles, unlimited landline calls, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.

BUYMOBILEPHONES.NET

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S II are both free on a £21.50 per month O2 deal that offers 100 minutes, 500 texts, 500MB of data, 20 free picture messages and unlimited UK Wi-Fi via O2 and BT Openzone. The Motorola Motoluxe is free on a £15.50 per month T-Mobile tariff that comes with 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data.
