Latest handset to be added to Samsung’s Galaxy range to go on sale at retailers and networks including Phones 4U and Vodafone from Monday
The Samsung Galaxy S Advance will go on sale in the UK from April 30. It will be available from a number of retailers and networks, including Phones 4U and Vodafone.
The Galaxy S Advance runs off the Android Gingerbread 2.3 operating system and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor.
It features a four inch ‘Super AMOLED’ screen, five megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapxiel front-facing camera for video calling and eight or 16GB of user memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The Galaxy S Advance uses Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and enables users to access the company’s ‘Hubs’ range, including Music, Reader and Game Hubs.
The handset also features ‘Find My Mobile’, a lost-phone management system that ensures secure phone data encryption and enabling customers to trace their lost phone directly via the internet or delete the device’s data remotely.
Samsung UK and Ireland telecommunications and networks division managing director Simon Stanford said: “We’ve been pleased with the response we’ve had from customers, partners and media since announcing the Galaxy S Advance in January.”
