Frequency Telecom TV ad spend exceeds £100,000

Accessories distributor and Case-Mate invest more than £50,000 to push the US device protection manufacturer’s Creature range in the UK

Frequency Telecom and Case-Mate have spent more than £50,000 on TV ads to promote the latter firm’s ‘Creatures’ case range.

The campaign begins on May 1 and will run for two weeks. The ads will be broadcast on ITV2, E4, 4Music and Box Music’s Kiss, Q, Box, Smash Hits, Kerrang and Magic channels.

Frequency Telecom has been the exclusive supplier of Case-Mate products in Europe since August 2009.

The commercials, which are targeted at the 18- to 24-year-old market, show a man dancing through various environments, including a pub and a dry cleaners before meeting a lady in a park where they both reveal their Case-Mate-covered handsets.

The ad concludes with a message all six of the ‘Creature’ cases (three pictured) can be purchased through Carphone Warehouse retail stores and online.

It is the second television advertising campaign Frequency Telecom has been involved in this month. It has also spent £50,000 on an advert to promote the Nextivity Cel-Fi RS2 3G signal booster. Frequency is an officially appointed European distributor for Nextivity.

The 30-second advert, first aired on April 2, is running for four weeks on channels including Channel 5, Sky News, Sky Atlantic, Motors TV and ESPN, showing over 370 times during the campaign.

Frequency Telecom managing director Gareth Limpenny said: “We’ve had great success since we began working with Case- Mate. It’s not just a question of selling products on, it’s about working with our key customers to help build the brand and generate sales. This is a prime example of that.”
