Accessories distributor chosen to exclusively supply retailers with headphones developed by 50 Cent, and will also begin a national advertising campaign for the product

Kondor has been chosen as the exclusive UK supplier of a new range of headphones developed by rapper 50 Cent.

The headphones are manufactured by US audio headphone and accessories brand SMS Audio, of which 50 Cent is the CEO.

There are currently three products available, which include two sets of headphones, ‘SYNC by 50’ and ‘STREET by 50’, as well as a set of lowerpriced earphones, ‘STREET by 50 In-Ear’.

The premium wireless headphones, ‘SYNC by 50’, can be used up to 50 feet away from a mobile device and can sync up to four different users.

Other features include full on-board controls with bass boost, volume control and mute and noise cancellation technology.

The headphones are priced at £299.95 and come boxed with a carry case and wired mic cable. They are available in black, silver and white.

The lower-priced wireless headset, ‘STREET by 50’, will be available for £199.95 and also features noise cancellation capabilities. It comes boxed with a carry case, cleaning cloth, removable cable with microphone and airplane-plug adaptor and is available in black, blue and white.

Earphones are also available for £99.95, which include goldplated connectors and a control mic with volume control. They come boxed with a carry case and noise-cancelling ear tips and are available in black and white.

Kondor is expected to distribute the products to a number of high street retailers including Carphone Warehouse and Tesco.

The deal extends Kondor’s portfolio of headphones, having already established partnerships to stock brands including Sennheiser, Skullcandy, Monster Beats by Dr. Dre, Shure, Etymotic, KitSound and JVC.

Kondor has confirmed it will begin a national advertising campaign to promote the headsets this month, which will include being displayed on a large electronic screen in London’s Oxford Circus underground station.

Kondor also recently demonstrated the products at last month’s Gadget Show in Birmingham.

Kondor managing director Rob Haycock said: “It complements the depth of our headphone portfolio.

“SMS Audio combines technology, function and style to bring the highest calibre of sound, comfort and fashion to each product.

“They were a great hit at last month’s Gadget Show and are already a favourite with a number of celebrities and Premier League footballers.”
