Prepay handsets to range from entry-level devices to the ODM’s first to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Original device manufacturer (ODM) MOJO Maker will release seven prepay handsets in the UK and Ireland this year.
The firm’s SNapps, Flirt, Lite and Blah devices will go on sale before the end of June, the Ama-Zing will follow in Q3 and the Andromeda and Uber will be released in Q4.
MOJO Maker MD Caroline Preston said the devices will go on sale through a number of high street retailers and supermarkets. These could not be named at press.
The sub £40 SNapps handset will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and includes a 3.2-megapixel camera and expandable memory of up to 32GB with a microSD card.
The Flirt (pictured centre) includes a 2.8-inch touchscreen, two-megapixel rear camera, VGA camera on the front and MP3 player and will cost less than £20.
The sub £10 Lite and Blah (pictured left) are both entry-level handsets. The Lite features a QWERTY keyboard, 1.7 inch screen, VGA camera and MP3 player. The Blah is a candybar and features a VGA camera, an MP3 and video player and 8GB of expandable memory with a microSD card.
The sub £40 Ama-Zing will run Android 2.2 and has a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a VGA camera and includes a 2GB memory card.
The sub £100 Andromeda will run Android 2.2 and includes a four-inch touchscreen, a five-megapixel camera, GPS, accelerometer and a 2GB memory card will be included.
The sub £150 Uber (pictured right) will be MOJO Maker’s first handset to run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and includes a 1GHz processor, 4.7-inch touchscreen, five-megapixel camera and GPS.
Preston said: “A lot of high street mobile retailers and networks are showing interest in ranging our upcoming devices, which is extremely encouraging.”
