A round-up of deals available from mobile retailers online and on the high street
Customers who pre-order the Nokia Lumia 900 in time for its release date of May 14 will also receive free Monster headphones worth £199 and £50 worth of apps. After two weeks from purchase, customers can visit nokiafreeapps.com to claim their apps. They have until July 31 to do this. Both the Samsung Galaxy Ace and HTC Wildfire S cost £119.95 on prepay, with £180 o the former and £80 off the latter. There’s also £70 off the Samsung Galaxy Europa, which is priced at £39.95. Selected Nokia handsets are half price on prepay. These are the Lumia 710 for £129.95, Nokia C2-05 for £49.95 and Asha 201 for £39.95.
Both the Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II are available for free from £20.50 per month on a Vodafone deal including 300 minutes, 3,000 texts and 250MB of data. There is a line rental discount of £252 included in the Galaxy Note deal. Both are also free on O2 contracts costing £21.50 per month. The plan for the Galaxy Note has 200 cross-network minutes, 250 O2-to-O2 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and free Wi-Fi. The plan for the Galaxy S II has 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.
The Samsung Galaxy Y, HTC Wildfire S in purple, BlackBerry Curve 8520 and Nokia Asha 302 in grey are all free for £15.50 per month. The tariff comes with200 minutes (double what is normally given), 500 texts, 250MB of data and 500MB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi access. There are also double minutes available for the Samsung Galaxy S II, which is free for £31 per month. The plan affords 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB of data and 1GB of BT Openzone Wi-Fi access.
The HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy Note and Apple iPhone 4S 16GB in white are free on O2’s ‘On & On’ tariff. Both cost £36 per month (there is an upfront charge of £59.99 for the iPhone 4S) and come with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data. Customers can pay £5 per month extra to receive 2GB of data. There is now 100MB of data with O2’s cheapest SIM-only tariff, which costs £10.50 per month and comes with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500 minutes to other O2 mobiles.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace, BlackBerry Curve 9300 and HTC Wildfire in black are all free on a £10.50 per month deal that comes with 50 minutes, 250 texts and 250MB of data. Alternatively, the HTC Desire S and BlackBerry Curve 9360 are free on a £15.50 per month deal that offers 100 minutes, 500 texts, 250MB of data and a ‘flexible booster’.
The Samsung Galaxy S II is free from £25 per month with an upfront payment of £29 for the handset. The tariff offers 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data. Alternatively, the Apple iPhone 4S is available from £4 per month with an upfront payment of £49 for the handset. This tariff comes with 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data.
