New campaign launches tomorrow night to promote smartphone upgrades with the retailer

Phones 4u is set to launch a £10 million TV, radio and press advertising campaign tomorrow to promote its smartphone upgrades.

The first advertisement of the series will premier during the Saturday night edition of Channel 4 quiz The Million Pound Drop and on Channel 5’s Big Brother. It features several people explaining their situation and asking if they qualify for an upgrade – the answer to everyone is ‘yes’.

The campaign, which runs until October, features voice-overs from former Holby City actor Alex Macqueen and celebrity cameos from ex-Eastenders star Dean Gaffney and Big Brother contestant Sophie Reade.

We’re really excited to be launching our new upgrades campaign,” said Phones 4u head of brand communications Caspar Nelson. “We know how important it is for customers to own the latest smartphones, and we’re aiming to raise awareness of Phones 4u as the destination for a great upgrade deal. Of course this message is delivered in the distinctive Phones 4u style that sets us apart from our competitors”.
