Nokia launches Lumia training facility


Customers given free advice from customer service assistants on how to set-up and use features on their handsets

Newcomers to the Nokia Lumia series are being offered a free time-slot with an online customer care assistant to help them get the most from their new handset.

Customers can visit the Smart Setup team online and book an appointment with a Nokia representative, who will then phone them at an agreed time to take them through how to use their new phone. Tips include basic set up, linking to Facebook and email accounts, making the most of features including Nokia Maps and using the handset as an entertainment device.

Launched today, the scheme is aimed at first-time smartphone users to help them utilise the full potential of their Lumia.

Nokia UK head of customer care Matt Channing said: “We believe Nokia Lumia devices offer the quickest, simplest and most socially connected smartphone experience around, and want to ensure new owners discover what they need to know to make full use of these great phones straight away.”
