Data and 2G restored at 8am but problems with network continue

Hundreds of thousands of O2 customers remain without a 3G service as problems with the network continued overnight and into this morning (July 12).

Customers have been advised to switch off 3G in their settings, which will enable them to use the 2G service until 3G is restored – which is expected to take place gradually throughout today.

Data and 2G services were restored at 8am today, 18 and a half hours after problems were first reported by customers spread across the UK who were unable to text, call or use data services.
