Facilities around London designed to promote the Samsung Galaxy S III to sell ethnic MVNO’s SIM cards this summer
Lebara Mobile has partnered with Samsung Mobile to supply its PIN pop-up stores around London with airtime during the summer.
Lebara is providing mobile SIM cards for Samsung demonstration handsets across all PIN stores, which are glass pop-up facilities designed to promote the manufacturer’s Galaxy S III handset.
The stores are open in Westfield London and Spitalfields market, with further stores in Stratford and Hyde Park also due to open. They are being managed on behalf of Samsung by Phones 4U, which will sell all four of Lebara’s products in its stores.
These are the ‘Standard SIM’ and ‘Micro SIM’, which cost £4.95 including £5 credit, ‘Lebara Family Pack’, which costs £4.95 for two SIMs (one with £5 credit and the other with none) and the ‘Lebara Tourist Pack’, which costs £9.95 and includes a SIM with £10 credit, as well as a map of London, Tube map, Oyster card holder and discount voucher booklet for London attractions.
Lebara Mobile UK managing director Russell Atkinson (pictured) said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Samsung and Phones4U on the pop-up PIN stores. There is a strong commercial case for leading brands to work together over this historic London summer, which represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for both the retail and technology industries.
“By having a presence in London hotspots during this period we will be able to offer both tourists and athletes the opportunity of great rates to call family and friends back home.”
