Longer and slimmer iPhone expected to be available in two weeks, nine days after it is unveiled at an Apple event in San Francisco
The Apple iPhone 5 will go on sale in the UK on September 21 through Apple stores, and the following day through major high street retailers and mobile operators.
That is according to sources close to the company, who said the new model will be longer and slimmer than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S. The smartphone will also come with a different charging socket.
Apple is widely expected to announce the latest upgrade to its iPhone range at an event in San Francisco next Wednesday (September 12).
There is also speculation the manufacturer will unveil a new iPad device that is smaller and cheaper than its previous tablet products.
