O2, Vodafone and EE all make lowest-spec version of Apple device available for free on some premium price-plans
Operators have announced pricing and tariff details for the new iPhone 5 following this week’s announcement by Apple.
O2 will make the 16GB version free on its top-priced On & On tariff for £46 per month including unlimited calls, texts and 1GB of data with the 32GB version available for £89.99 upfront and £169.99 for the 64GB handset. The upfront cost on on the cheapest tariff of £26 per month is £249.99 for the 16GB version, £359.99 for the 32GB and £449.99 for the 64GB device.
It is also offering the 32GB version for free on its standard £63 a month tariff including unlimited texts, calls and 1GB of internet. The standard tariff also offers the top of the range iPhone 5 for £69.99 upfront.
Vodafone’s 16GB iPhone 5 will be free on the £47 Red Data plan with unlimited calls, texts and 2GB of data. On the same plan the 32GB version is £89 with the 64GB for £169. The iPhone is also available on Vodafone Red tariffs for £37 and £42. The cheapest plan the network offers the iPhone on is the 100 Plan for £25 for 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 100MB of data with £249 upfront for the 16GB phone, £349 for the 32GB and £409 for the 64GB.
Three is offering the 16GB version for £79 upfront on either its £36 a month One Plan with unlimited data, 2,000 minutes and 5,000 texts or its £34 Ultimate Internet 500 plan with 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited data.
The 32GB version is available for £89 upfront on a £39 version of the One Plan with the same data, texts and minutes and a £37 version of Ultimate Internet 500 plan. Apple’s 64GB version costs £109 upfront on £42 a month for the One Plan and £40 for the Ultimate Internet 500.
Earlier today, EE also announced its pricing of the device. On Orange the phone will be available on four tariffs all with unlimited texts and calls. The 16GB version of the device will be free on the £46 and £51 per month plans for 3GB and unlimited internet respectively, with an up-front cost for the phone of £109.99 on the cheapest available plan – £36 with 1GB of data. Prices for the 32GB and 64GB range from £39.99 to £269.99.
The cheapest plan available on T-Mobile costs £36 per month for unlimited data, texts and 2,000 minutes with the an up-front cost of £109 for the 16GB version, £219 for the 32GB version and £269 for the 64GB handset. Full Monty plans are also available at £41, £46 and £61 per month with the most expensive plan charging £19 for the 16GB handset, £29 for the mid-range and £139 for the 64GB iPhone 5.
